Grand River Hospital Foundation The Grand River Hospital Foundation supports the financial needs of the Grand River Hospital, which is comprised of the Freeport and Kitchener-Waterloo Health Centres, and the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre. All sites are located in Kitchener, Ontario.
Like the great tradition of caring that has long been established at Grand River Hospital, we are fortunate to have a community with a wonderful tradition of support. For more than 109 years, patients have received excellent care, thanks in part to community contributions. Key Granting Areas of the Foundation include:
- Patient Care Equipment
- Capital Building Projects
- Capital Building Renovations
- Research and Education
The Foundation is responsible for accepting and acknowledging all charitable gifts. Donations are managed until granted to the hospital for approved projects, or until disbursed as per a donor's direction. Project approvals are finalized by the both the Hospital Trustees and the Foundation Board of Governors.
As a charitable organization, the foundation is fortunate to have the dedication of many community minded volunteers who sit on the Foundation Board of Governors and various working committees. With the guidance of the volunteers, the Grand River Hospital Foundation continues to grow and increase capacity to meet the diverse needs of the hospital and focus on those we serve - donors and volunteers alike.
